Jenny Lou Drew’s voice draws comparisons that run the gamut from Janis Joplin to Norah Jones. An award-winning songwriter, she and guitarist, Scott Morgan, have been building a life and a solid repertoire together for over a decade. At home, they tend to their homestead in Maine. On the road, they take the 1969 travel trailer they restored for use as a mini-tour-mobile. Currently at work on their third self-produced record, they’ve called on old friends, Shawn Paul Boissonneault (drums) and Charles Ellingwood (bass) to join them in the studio and on the stage. Missing the people who would frequent their shows and the jams she hosted before the 2020 lockdown, Drew began to focus on creating a collection of songs that lend themselves to singing along. This four-piece of old friends promises to deliver lap steel laden, wicked good songs, and a fun time.
